Gilbert Deconstructed

Gilbert Deconstructed is a vinyl-wrapped door installation located in Arts Alley in downtown Gilbert, Arizona. The artwork reflects the town’s transformation from a quiet agricultural community into a vibrant destination known for its restaurants, nightlife, and local culture.

The piece begins with the word Gilbert rendered in a graffiti-inspired style, then breaks the lettering apart and reassembles it through layered collage. This deconstructed approach mirrors the town’s evolution, honoring the past while embracing the creativity and energy shaping its future.

The result celebrates a community in transition and the new chapter unfolding downtown.

Gilbert Deconstructed was recognized with a Gilbert Community Beautification Award in 2024.
