Fragments of Flagstaff
Fragments of Flagstaff is a five-panel public artwork applied to a utility box in Flagstaff, Arizona. Each panel represents a season in northern Arizona, highlighting the landscapes and outdoor experiences that shape life in the region, from mountain forests and migratory birds to winter skiing and the area’s renowned dark skies.
Rendered in a faceted geometric style, familiar elements are broken into fragments that reassemble into a cohesive whole. The visual language reflects both the layered natural environment and the community itself, individual pieces coming together to form a vibrant and connected place.
